An Act to amend the Unit Trusts Act 1960
BE IT ENACTED by the Parliament of New Zealand as follows:
1 Short Title
This Act may be cited as the Unit Trusts Amendment Act 1998, and is part of the Unit Trusts Act 1960 (
“the principal Act”
).
2 Interpretation
3 Unit trust to have manager and trustee
4 New sections substituted
5 Implied provisions in trust deed
(a) This paragraph amended s 12(1)(b)(i) and (ii) of the principal Act.
(b) This paragraph amended s 12(1)(b)(ii) of the principal Act.
6 Duty of manager with respect to subscriptions
This section amended s 14(2) of the principal Act.
7 Subscriptions, etc to become subject to trusts
This section amended s 15 of the principal Act.
