Fair Trading Amendment Act 2000

This Act is administered in the Ministry of Economic Development.

The Parliament of New Zealand enacts as follows:

(1) This Act is the Fair Trading Amendment Act 2000.

(2) In this Act, the Fair Trading Act 1986 is called “the principal Act”.

This Act comes into force on the day after the date on which it receives the Royal assent.

Section 13 of the principal Act is amended by—
- (a) omitting the words “Falsely represent” in each place where they occur, and substituting in each case the words “make a false or misleading representation”; and
- (b) inserting in the heading, after the word False, the words or misleading.
