Note
This Act is administered by Te Puni Kokiri.
The Parliament of New Zealand enacts as follows:
1 Title
This Act is—
(a) Te Ture Whenua Maori Amendment Act 2007; or
(b) the Maori Land Amendment Act 2007.
2 Commencement
This Act comes into force on the day after the date on which it receives the Royal assent.
3 Amendments to Te Ture Whenua Maori Act 1993
This Act amends Te Ture Whenua Maori Act 1993.
4 Appointment of Judges
Section 7(4) is amended by omitting
“68”
and substituting“70”
.
5 Appointment of temporary Judges
Section 9(5) is amended by omitting
“68”
and substituting“70”
.
6 Tenure of office
Section 12(2) is amended by omitting
“68”
and substituting“70”
