The Parliament of New Zealand enacts as follows:
1 Title
This Act is the Broadcasting Amendment Act 2007.
2 Commencement
This Act comes into force on the day after the date on which it receives the Royal assent.
3 Principal Act amended
This Act amends the Broadcasting Act 1989.
4 Interpretation

(1) The definition of total operating revenue in section 2(1) is repealed.
(2) Section 2(1) is amended by inserting the following definition in its appropriate alphabetical order:
“total revenue means all income classified as revenue by the applicable financial reporting standard approved under section 24 of the Financial Reporting Act 1993.”
5 Return on total operating revenue

(1) The heading to section 30A is amended by omitting
“operating”
.(2) Section 30A(1) is amended by omitting

.(3) Section 30A(2)(b) is amended by omitting

.(4) Section 30A(3) is amended by omitting
