Pursuant to section 57 of the Unsolicited Electronic Messages Act 2007, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting on the advice and with the consent of the Executive Council, makes the following order.
Order
1 Title
This order is the Unsolicited Electronic Messages Order 2011.
2 Commencement
This order comes into force on 21 October 2011.
3 Clause 1(b) of Schedule of Unsolicited Electronic Messages Act 2007 repealed
Clause 1(b) of the Schedule of the Unsolicited Electronic Messages Act 2007 is repealed.

Explanatory note
This note is not part of the order, but is intended to indicate its general effect.
This order, which comes into force on 21 October 2011, amends the Schedule of the Unsolicited Electronic Messages Act 2007 (the Act) to remove facsimiles from the list of messages that are not electronic messages. The effect of this is to bring facsimiles within the definition of electronic messages in section 5 of the Act.
