The Parliament of New Zealand enacts as follows:

1 Title

  • This Act is the New Zealand Superannuation and Retirement Income Amendment Act 2007.

2 Commencement

  • This Act comes into force on the day after the date on which it receives the Royal assent.

3 Principal Act amended

  • This Act amends the New Zealand Superannuation and Retirement Income Act 2001.

4 Hospital rates of New Zealand superannuation

  • (1) Section 19(5) is amended by omitting “Subsection (3)” and substituting “Subsection (4)”.

    (2) Section 19(6)(a) is amended by omitting “subsection (3)” and substituting “subsection (4)”.

    (3) Section 19(7) is amended by omitting “subsection (5)” and substituting “subsection (6)(b)”.
