Pursuant to section 2(1) of the Sentencing Amendment Act 2011, Her Excellency the Administrator of the Government, acting on the advice and with the consent of the Executive Council, makes the following order.
Order
1 Title
This order is the Sentencing Amendment Act 2011 Commencement Order 2012.
2 Commencement of specified sections of Sentencing Amendment Act 2011
Sections 7, 10, 15 to 30, and 32 to 38 of the Sentencing Amendment Act 2011 come into force on 1 August 2012.

Explanatory note
This note is not part of the order, but is intended to indicate its general effect.
This order brings specified sections of the Sentencing Amendment Act 2011 (the Act) into force on 1 August 2012. Those sections relate mainly to vehicle confiscation and the imposition of payment conditions for reparation, and to authorising the cancellation, or the cancellation and substitution, of a sentence of reparation that is unenforceable or unaffordable.
The rest of the Act is already in force.
