Pursuant to section 2(1) of the Non-bank Deposit Takers Act 2013, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting on the advice and with the consent of the Executive Council, makes the following order.

1 Title
This order is the Non-bank Deposit Takers Act Commencement Order 2014.
2 Commencement of Non-bank Deposit Takers Act 2013
The Non-bank Deposit Takers Act 2013, except section 91(2) and (4) and sections 94 to 101, comes into force on 1 May 2014.

Explanatory note
This note is not part of the order, but is intended to indicate its general effect.
This order brings most of the Non-bank Deposit Takers Act 2013 into force on 1 May 2014. The provisions not brought into force on that date are—
section 91(2) and (4), which will come into force a year later (ie, on 1 May 2015); and
sections 94 to 101, which relate to amendments to the Non-bank Deposit Takers Act 2013 that will be required when the Financial Markets Conduct Act 2013 comes fully into force.
