This order is made under section 2(2) of the Racing Industry Act 2020 on the advice and with the consent of the Executive Council.

1 Title
This order is the Racing Industry Act Commencement Order 2021.
2 Commencement of sections 42 to 50 of Racing Industry Act 2020
Sections 42 to 50 of the Racing Industry Act 2020 come into force on 1 July 2021.

Explanatory note
This note is not part of the order, but is intended to indicate its general effect.
This order brings into force, on 1 July 2021, sections 42 to 50 of the Racing Industry Act 2020. Those sections establish the Racing Integrity Board (the Board) and set out provisions relating to the Board’s objectives, functions and powers, membership, and accountability and to adjudicative committees and appeals tribunals that may be appointed by the Board.
