Contents
An Act to vest in Her Majesty a Site for a Railway-station at Auckland, and provide Approaches thereto.
BE IT ENACTED by the General Assembly of New Zealand in Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:—
1 Short Title.
The Short Title of this Act is “The Auckland Railway-station Act, 1882.”
2 Repeal.
Sections four and five of “The Auckland Harbour Act, 1874,”
hereinafter called the said Act, are hereby repealed.
3 Land vested in Her Majesty for a Railway-station.
The several pieces or parcels of land described in the First Schedule to this Act, marked “Railway,”
and coloured red on the plan referred to under Second Schedule, are hereby vested in Her Majesty, her heirs and successors, free from all incumbrances, as a site for a railway-station.
It shall be lawful for Her Majesty to build a bridge over that part of the said land marked “Bridge”
on the said plan, to be used as a public thoroughfare.
4 Land vested in the Harbour Board.
The several pieces or parcels of land described in the Second Schedule to this Act, marked “Harbour Board,”
and coloured blue on the said plan, are hereby vested in the Auckland Harbour Board and their assigns.
The said pieces or parcels of land so vested in the said Board shall be held by them with the powers and subject to the provisions of “The Harbours Act, 1878.”
5 Customhouse Street.
The piece or parcel of land marked “Customhouse Street,”
and coloured brown on the said plan, is hereby declared to be and shall be a public street or highway one hundred feet wide.
The Quay.
The piece or parcel of land marked “quay,”
and coloured brown on the said plan, is hereby declared to be and shall be a public quay or wharf eighty-four feet six inches wide.
Railway Road.
The piece or parcel of land marked “Railway Road,”
and coloured brown on the said plan, is hereby declared to be and shall be a public road or highway at least sixty-six feet wide.
Street to railway-station.
The piece or parcel of land marked “Gore Street,”
colored brown on the said plan, is hereby declared to be and shall be a public street or highway sixty-six feet wide leading to railway-station.
Queen Street.
That part of Queen Street shown on the said plan, and marked “Queen Street,”
shall hereafter be one hundred and twenty feet wide.

FIRST SCHEDULE
All that piece or parcel of land containing by admeasurement 11 acres 1 rood 23 perches. Bounded as follows: North-easterly by a line, 569·7 links; North-westerly by a line, 50 links; North-easterly and easterly by lines, 1288·3, 508·5, 821·4, 393·3, and 381·4 links respectively; South-easterly by a line, 173 links; South-westerly by lines, 189·9, 394·5, 106·2, 181, 206·6, and 241 links respectively; North-westerly by a beach road, 12 links; South-westerly by said road, 486·5, 1268·3, and 260·2 links respectively (these two latter lines being tangents of a curve joining them); North-westerly by a line, 68·2 links; South-westerly by lines, 500 and 113·6 links respectively; North-westerly by lines, 40·3 and 75·7 links respectively; North-easterly by a line, 100 links; North-westerly by lines and a road to commencing point, 317, 141·1, and 241·3 links respectively.
All that piece or parcel of land containing by admeasurement 5 acres 3 roods 12 perches. Bounded as follows: North-easterly by a line, 1588 links; South-easterly by lines, 227·2 and 150·1 links respectively; South-westerly by a line, 1538·6 links; North-westerly by Queen Street to commencing point, 369 links.
SECOND SCHEDULE
All that piece or parcel of land containing by admeasurement 2 roods 26 perches. Bounded as follows: North-easterly by a line, 500 links; South-easterly by a line, 68·2 links; South-westerly by a beach road, 508·8 links; North-westerly by a road to commencing point, 198·1 links.
All that piece or parcel of land containing by admeasurement 3 roods 2 perches. Bounded as follows: North-easterly by a line, 554·8 links; South-easterly by a road, 126·8 links; South-westerly by Customhouse Street, 245·9 and 269 links respectively; North-westerly by Gore Street to commencing point, 151·5 links.
All that piece or parcel of land containing by admeasurement 1 acre 1 rood 14 perches. Bounded as follows: South-westerly by Customhouse Street, 883·8 links; North-westerly by Queen Street, 151·5 links; North-easterly by a line, 883·8 links; South-easterly by Gore Street to commencing point, 151·5 links.
All that piece or parcel of land containing by admeasurement 2 acres 1 rood 22 perches. Bounded as follows: North-easterly by a quay, 1488 links; South-easterly by a road, 152·8 links; South-westerly by a line, 1488 links; North-westerly by Queen Street to commencing point, 151·5 links.
Be all the above areas in above Schedules either more or less, the several parcels of land being a portion of the foreshore of Auckland Harbour, within the Rangitoto Survey District, Provincial District of Auckland, Colony of New Zealand, and being more particularly delineated upon the plan marked P.W.D. 9220, deposited in the office of the Minister for Public Works at Wellington, in the Provincial District of Wellington.
