An Act to convey a certain Piece of Land in the Town of Greytown for the Purposes of a Street.
Preamble.
WHEREAS the Education Board of the District of Wellington (hereinafter called “the Board”
) is seized of or otherwise well entitled to the piece of land described in the Schedule hereto: And whereas it is desirable that Great Frederick Street, in the Town of Greytown, should be made of the full width of sixty-six feet: And whereas the Board has no power to dedicate any portion of its reserves for the purpose of a street: And whereas the Board concurs in the said piece of land being vested in the Mayor, Councillors, and Burgesses of the Borough of Greytown:
BE IT THEREFORE ENACTED by the General Assembly of New Zealand in Parliament assembled, and by authority of the same, as follows:—
1 Short Title.
The Short Title of this Act is “The Wellington Education Board Transfer of Reserve Act, 1897.”
2 Land vested in the Mayor, Councillors, and Burgesses of the Borough of Greytown.
The piece of land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby vested in the Mayor, Councillors, and Burgesses of the Borough of Greytown, for the purpose of widening Great Frederick Street.
Schedule
All that piece of land in the Wellington Land District, containing 14 perches, more or less, being part of Section No. 29 on the plan of the Town of Greytown. Bounded towards the north-east by other part of the same section, 500 links; towards the south-east by East Street, 13 links; towards the south-west by Great Frederick Street, 500 links; and towards the north-west by Main Street, 22–3 links: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less.
