An Act to amend “The Hospitals and Charitable Institutions Act, 1885.”
BE IT ENACTED by the General Assembly of New Zealand in Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:—
1 Short Title.
The Short Title of this Act is “The Vincent and. Maniototo Hospital Districts Act, 1906”
; and it shall form part of and be read together with “The Hospitals and Charitable Institutions Act, 1885”
(hereinafter referred to as “the principal Act”
), and shall come into operation on the first day of April, one thousand nine hundred and seven.
2 Repeal.
The First Schedule of the principal Act is hereby amended by repealing the description of the District of Central Otago, and substituting in lieu thereof the following:—
District of Vincent.
All that area in the colony being the County of Vincent, and including all boroughs therein.
District of Maniototo.
All that area in the colony being the County of Maniototo, and including all boroughs therein.
3 Temporary provisions as to respective Boards.
(1.)
Five of the members of the Central Otago District Board in office on the coming into operation of this Act shall form the Board for the District of Vincent, and five for the District of Maniototo.
(2.)
The members to form such respective Boards shall be decided by agreement amongst themselves, or, failing such agreement, by the Governor.
(3.)
Such members shall hold office until the coming into office of their successors, as provided by the principal Act.
