An Act to apply a Sum of Money out of the Public Account and other Accounts to the Service of the Year ending the Thirty-first Day of March, Nineteen hundred and nine.
BE IT ENACTED by the General Assembly of New Zealand in Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:—
1 Short Title.
This Act may be cited as the Imprest Supply Act, 1908 (No. 3).
2 Imprest grants
In addition to all sums otherwise granted, there may be issued and applied, by way of imprest, towards making good the supply granted to His Majesty for the service of the year ending the thirty-first day of March, nineteen hundred and nine,—
(a.)
Out of the respective funds and accounts (being part of the Public Account) specified in the First Schedule hereto, any sums of money not exceeding in the whole one million two hundred and twelve thousand pounds, as set forth in that Schedule;
(b.)
Out of the respective accounts mentioned in the Second Schedule hereto, the respective sums therein set forth, not exceeding in the whole fourteen thousand pounds; and
(c.)
Out of the Consolidated Fund, for transfer to the Public Works Fund, any sums not exceeding one hundred thousand pounds.
3 To be charged as expressed in future Act.
The aforesaid sums shall be charged in the manner hereafter to be expressed in any Act or Acts passed in this present session of Parliament for appropriating the public revenues of the Dominion for the year ending the thirty-first day of March, nineteen hundred and nine.
4 £500,000 may be issued and applied in connection with acquisition of the Wellington-Manawatu Railway.
The five hundred thousand pounds referred to in the First Schedule hereto as being in connection with the acquisition of the therein-mentioned railway may be issued and applied as and when the Minister of Finance thinks fit, notwithstanding that the acquisition of that railway may not then have been actually completed.
