Contents
An Act to effect an Exchange of certain Reserve Lands and provide for a Deviation of certain Roads in the County of Eyre.
WHEREAS it is desirable that the Waimakariri Harbour Board should acquire for a harbour reserve all that area of land described in the Fourth Schedule hereto in exchange for part of the land comprised in the reserve hereinafter mentioned: And whereas it is desirable that the deviation of roads described in the Schedules hereto should be effected:
BE IT THEREFORE ENACTED by the General Assembly of New Zealand in Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:—
1 Short Title.
This Act may be cited as the Waimakariri Harbour Board Reserve Act, 1919.
2 Land ceasing to be a reserve and public road.
The land described in the First Schedule hereto shall on the passing of this Act cease to be part of Reserve No. 1317, and the land set aside for a public road more particularly described in the Second Schedule hereto shall on the passing of this Act cease to be a public road and shall be closed, and the whole of the lands in the said First and Second Schedules are hereby vested in the North Canterbury Sheep-farmers’ Co-operative Freezing, Export, and Agency Company (Limited) in fee-simple.
3 Land becoming a public road.
The land described in the Third Schedule hereto is hereby vested in the King for the purposes of a public road.
4 Land becoming a reserve.
The land described in the Fourth Schedule hereto is hereby vested in the Waimakariri Harbour Board as a harbour reserve, and shall form part of and be subject to the same control as Reserve No. 1317 shown on the map of the Chief Surveyor of the Provincial District of Canterbury.
5 Conditions of vesting.
(1.)
Notwithstanding that the titles to the lands in the four Schedules hereto are given by this Act, such lands shall be subject to the same laws and provisions as if such lands had been so vested in any other lawful manner.
District Land Registrar empowered to issue certificates of title.
(2.)
The District Land Registrar at Christchurch is hereby empowered and directed to cause to be issued, upon demand made to him, the several Crown grants or certificates of title in respect of the several parcels of land affected by this Act.
SCHEDULES
FIRST SCHEDULE
All that parcel of land, containing 1 acre.1 rood 16 perches, more or less, situate in the Rangiora Survey District, being part of the Reserve 1317 on the map of the Chief Surveyor of the Provincial District of Canterbury, and bounded as follows: Commencing at a point on the western boundary of the said reserve, the said point bearing 359° 11′ north-westerly from the southernmost corner of the said Reserve 1317, and being distant therefrom 183·4 links; thence north-westerly and bearing 359° 55’, a distance of 26·57 links; thence north-westerly and bearing. 341° 13′, a distance of 53·1 links; thence north-westerly and bearing 350° 24′, a distance of 243·95 links; thence north-easterly and bearing 5° 25′ 30″, a distance of 103·3 links; thence north-easterly and bearing 6° 4′ 30″, a distance of 100–15 links; thence north-easterly and bearing 8° 52′, a distance of 100·55 links; thence north-easterly and bearing 10° 3′, a distance of 100·8 links; thence north-easterly and bearing 2° 0′ 30″, a distance of 100 links; thence north-westerly and bearing 350° 11′, a distance of 102·5 links; thence north-westerly and bearing 358° 4′, a distance of 93·5 links; thence south-easterly and bearing 158° 58′ 30″, a distance of 696·85 links; and from thence returning south-westerly and bearing 212° 15′, a distance of 428–7 links, to the commencing-point: coloured yellow on plan.
SECOND SCHEDULE
All that parcel of land, containing 1 acre and 25 perches, more or less, situate in the Rangiora Survey District, being part of the street or road known as Charters Street lying between the eastern boundary of Rural Section 297 and the western boundary of Reserve 1317 on the map of the Chief Surveyor of the Provincial District of Canter bury, and bounded as follows: Commencing at a point on the western boundary of the said reserve, the said point bearing 359° 11′ north-westerly from the southernmost corner of the said Reserve 1317, and being distant therefrom 183·4 links; thence north-westerly and bearing 359° 55′, a distance of 26·57 links; thence north-westerly and bearing 341° 13′, a distance of 53·1 links; thence north-westerly and bearing 350° 24′, a distance of 243·95 links; thence north-easterly and bearing 5° 25′ 30″, a distance of 103·3 links; thence north-easterly and bearing 6° 4′ 30″, a distance of 100·15 links; thence north-easterly and bearing 8° 52′, a distance of 100·55 links; thence north-easterly and bearing 10° 3′, a distance of 100–8 links; thence north-easterly and bearing 2° 0′ 30″, a distance of 100 links; thence north-westerly and bearing 350° 11′, a distance of 102·5 links; thence north-westerly and bearing 358° 4′, a distance of 93·5 links; thence north-westerly and bearing 338° 58′ 30″, a distance of 171·5 links; thence south-westerly and bearing 188° 44′, a distance of 32 links; thence south-westerly and bearing 197° 42′ 30″, a distance of 112·95 links; thence south-easterly and bearing 178° 4′, a distance of 124·53 links; thence south-easterly and bearing 170° 11′, a distance of 99 links; thence south-westerly and bearing 182° 0′ 30″, a distance of 82·6 links; thence south-westerly and bearing 190° 3′, a distance of 94·8 links; thence south-westerly and bearing 188° 52′, a distance of 104 links; thence south-westerly and bearing 186° 4′ 30″, a distance of 103·15 links; thence south-westerly and bearing 185° 25′ 30″, a distance of 117–05 links; thence south-easterly and bearing 170° 24′, a distance of 265·15 links; thence south-easterly and bearing 161° 13′, a distance of 44·66 links; thence south-easterly and bearing 179° 55′, a distance of 36·9 links; thence south-easterly and bearing 174° 41′, a distance of 79·15 links; and from thence returning north-easterly by a straight line, 140·6 links, to the commencing-point: coloured green on plan.

All that parcel of land, containing 1 acre 1 rood 11 perches, more or less, situate in the Rangiora Survey District, being part of Reserve 1317 on the map of the Chief Surveyor of the Provincial District of Canterbury, and bounded as follows: Commencing at the southernmost corner of the said reserve; thence north-westerly and bearing 309°, a distance of 21 links; thence north-easterly and bearing 29° 55′, a distance of 49·15 links; thence north-westerly and bearing 353° 3′, a distance of 32·8 links; thence north-westerly and bearing 354° 4′, a distance of 73·17 links; thence north-westerly and bearing 359° 55′; a distance of 22·2 links; thence north-easterly and bearing 32° 15′, a distance of 428·7 links; thence north-westerly and bearing 338° 58′ 30″, a distance of 696·85 links; thence north-westerly and bearing 358° 4′, a distance of 6·85 links; thence north-easterly and bearing 17° 42′ 30″, a distance of 103·5 links; thence north-easterly and bearing 8° 44′, a distance of 66·5 links; thence south-easterly and bearing 158° 58′ 30″, a distance of 891·95 links; and from thence returning south-westerly and bearing 212° 15′, a distance of 632·55 links, to the commencing-point: coloured pink on plan.
