1 Short Title.
2 Qualified privilege in respect of publication of proceedings of inquiries held pursuant to rules of society formed for control of horse-racing.

An Act to amend the Law of Libel Amendment Act, 1910.

BE IT ENACTED by the General Assembly of New Zealand in Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:—

1 Short Title.

This Act may be cited as the Law of Libel Amendment Act, 1933, and shall be read together with and deemed part of the Law of Libel Amendment Act, 1910 (hereinafter referred to as the principal Act).

2 Qualified privilege in respect of publication of proceedings of inquiries held pursuant to rules of society formed for control of horse-racing.

Section two of the principal Act is hereby amended by adding to subsection one the following paragraph:—

“(f)

A fair and accurate report of the proceedings in any inquiry held in accordance with the rulesof any organization, conference, club, or body of persons established for the control of horse-racing, or of the result of any such proceedings.”
