An Act to amend the Stock Remedies Act 1934
BE IT ENACTED by the General Assembly of New Zealand in Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
1 Short Title
This Act may be cited as the Stock Remedies Amendment Act 1965, and shall be read together with and deemed part of the Stock Remedies Act 1934 (hereinafter referred to as the principal Act).
2 Extending the registration period of stock remedies
(1)
Notwithstanding anything in the principal Act, or in any certificate of registration issued under that Act, the period for which any stock remedy is registered shall, in the case of any registration which is in force on the thirtieth day of September, nineteen hundred and sixty-five, or is effected after that date but not later than the thirty-first day of December, nineteen hundred and sixty-six, expire with the thirty-first day of December, nineteen hundred and sixty-six.
(2)
Every registration of a stock remedy effected at any time after the thirty-first day of December 1966 shall be for such period as the Governor-General may from time to time, by Order in Council, prescribe.
3 Repeals
The following enactments are hereby repealed:
(a)
Section 2 of the Stock Remedies Amendment Act 1946:
(b)
Section 2 of the Stock Remedies Amendment Act 1947.
