An Act to amend the Conservation Act 1987
BE IT ENACTED by the Parliament of New Zealand as follows:
1 Short Title
This Act may be cited as the Conservation Amendment Act (No. 3) 1996, and shall be read together with and deemed part of the Conservation Act 1987 (hereinafter referred to as the principal Act).
2 Regulations
Section 48a of the principal Act (as substituted by section 27 of the Conservation Law Reform Act 1990) is hereby amended by inserting, after subsection 2, the following subsections:
“(2a)
Notwithstanding anything in section 48(1)(k) or section 48a(1)(c) or (e) of this Act, the Minister may by notice in the Gazette,—
“(a)
Fix the forms and classes of licences to fish for sports fish:
“(b)
Fix the scope and effect of licences or any specified class of licences to fish for sports fish:
“(c)
Provide for the licences issued in respect of any region for sports fish to be available in any other region or regions or in all regions:
“(d)
Fix the fees payable for any licence to fish for sports fish.
“(2b)
Any notice in the Gazette made under subsection (2a) of this section shall be deemed to be a regulation for the purposes of the Regulations (Disallowance) Act 1989.”
This Act is administered in the Department of Conservation.
