PURSUANT to the Evidence Act 1908, His Excellency the Administrator of the Government, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby makes the following order.

1 Title
This order may be cited as the Evidence (Photographic Copies) Order (No 2) 1970.
2 Authorised persons
The bodies, local authorities, and companies specified in Schedule 1 to this order are hereby declared to be authorised persons for the purposes of the Evidence Act 1908.
3 Revocations
The orders specified in Schedule 2 to this order are hereby revoked.

Explanatory note
This note is not part of the order, but is intended to indicate its general effect.
This order consolidates the existing orders declaring certain bodies, local authorities, and companies to be authorised persons for the purposes of the Evidence Act 1908. The effect of those orders is that section 5 of the Evidence Amendment Act 1952 applies to the bodies, local authorities, and companies so named, so that photographic copies of their records will be admissible in evidence.
Caltex Oil (N.Z.) Limited is also added to the list of authorised persons.
Issued under the authority of the Regulations Act 1936.
