Pursuant to section 120(3) of the Customs Act 1966, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby makes the following order.
Order
1 Title and commencement
(1)
This order may be cited as the Customs Preferential Tariff (Republic of Vanuatu) Order 1981.
(2)
This order shall come into force on 1 January 1982.
2 South Pacific Forum Preferential Tariff
It is hereby declared that the Preferential Tariff, as described in section 120(1)(f) of the Customs Act 1966, shall extend and apply to the Republic of Vanuatu which has become a member of the South Pacific Forum.

Explanatory note
This note is not part of the order, but is intended to indicate its general effect.
This order extends the Preferential rates of Customs duty applicable to members of the South Pacific Forum to the Republic of Vanuatu from 1 January 1982.
