Preamble
At Wellington this 29th day of October 2007
Pursuant to section 229 of the Sale of Liquor Act 1989, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting on the advice and with the consent of the Executive Council, makes the following regulations.
1 Title
These regulations are the Sale of Liquor Amendment Regulations (No 2) 2007.
2 Commencement
These regulations come into force on 30 November 2007.
3 Principal regulations amended
These regulations amend the Sale of Liquor Regulations 1990.
4 Remuneration of other members
(1)
Regulation 33 is amended by—
(a)
omitting “$240”
and substituting “$280”
; and
(b)
omitting “$12,500”
and substituting “$14,560”
.
(2)
Regulation 33 as amended by subclause (1) does not apply in respect of a meeting of a licensing trust or committee of a licensing trust held before 30 November 2007.
5 Revocation
The Sale of Liquor Amendment Regulations 2002 (SR 2002/395) are revoked.

Explanatory note
This note is not part of the regulations, but is intended to indicate their general effect.
These regulations, which come into force on 30 November 2007, increase the remuneration that may be paid to the members of a licensing trust (other than the president). The maximum amount payable to each member for attending a meeting of the trust or a committee of the trust is increased from $240 to $280 per meeting. The total remuneration that may be paid to a member in any financial year is increased from $12,500 to $14,560. These increases do not apply to attendances at meetings before 30 November 2007. These regulations revoke the Sale of Liquor Amendment Regulations 2002.
