Pursuant to section 234 of the Child Support Act 1991, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting on the advice and with the consent of the Executive Council, makes the following rules.
Rules
1 Title
These rules are the Child Support Amendment Rules 2013.
2 Commencement
These rules come into force on 1 July 2013.
3 Principal rules
These rules amend the Child Support Rules 1992 (the principal rules).
4 Rule 57 amended (Procedure on arrest of respondent other than in respect of offence)
In rule 57(5) replace
“section 57 of the Summary Proceedings Act 1957”
with“section 39 of the Bail Act 2000”
.

Explanatory note
This note is not part of the rules, but is intended to indicate their general effect.
These rules, which come into force on 1 July 2013, amend the Child Support Rules 1992 by updating a cross-reference. The amendment is part of a suite of changes that arise out of the regime implemented by the Criminal Procedure Act 2011.
