Pursuant to section 81(1)(g) of the Public Finance Act 1989, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting on the advice and with the consent of the Executive Council, makes the following order.
Order
1 Title
This order is the Crown Solicitors Regulations Revocation Order 2013.
2 Commencement
This order comes into force on 1 July 2013.
3 Crown Solicitors Regulations 1994 revoked
The Crown Solicitors Regulations 1994 (SR 1994/142) are revoked.
4 Saving for certain work done before 1 July 2013
The Crown Solicitors Regulations 1994, despite their revocation by clause 3, continue to apply to work done by Crown Solicitors (whether on criminal cases or civil matters) on or after 1 August 1994 but before 1 July 2013.
5 Revocation of this order
This order is revoked on 1 July 2018.

Explanatory note
This note is not part of the order, but is intended to indicate its general effect.
This order revokes on 1 July 2013 the Crown Solicitors Regulations 1994. Crown Solicitors’ employment, and the fees, allowances, and expenses they may claim, have been regulated or provided for by these regulations, but are instead to be dealt with by way of terms of appointment. The regulations continue to apply, despite their revocation, to work done by Crown Solicitors (whether on criminal cases or civil matters) on or after 1 August 1994 but before 1 July 2013.
