Preamble
At Wellington this 28th day of August 2006
Pursuant to section 78(1) of the Dog Control Act 1996, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting on the advice and with the consent of the Executive Council, makes the following regulations.
1 Title
These regulations are the Dog Control (Prescribed Forms) Amendment Regulations 2006.
2 Commencement
These regulations come into force on 10 October 2006.
3 Principal regulations amended
These regulations amend the Dog Control (Prescribed Forms) Regulations 1996.
4 Schedule amended
-
(1) Form 8 of the Schedule is amended—
(a) by omitting
“Name of dog owner:”
and substituting“Full name of dog owner:”
; and
(b) by omitting
“Address:”
and substituting“Full address:”
.
(2) Paragraph 8 of the summary of rights in form 8 of the Schedule is amended by inserting
“, or provide particulars of the reminder notice for filing,”
after“may file the reminder notice”
.

Explanatory note
This note is not part of the regulations, but is intended to indicate their general effect.
These regulations amend the infringement notice prescribed by the Dog Control (Prescribed Forms) Regulations 1996 to—
•clarify name and address requirements; and
•reflect changes (made by the Summary Proceedings Amendment Act 2006) to the summary procedure for infringement offences in section 21 of the Summary Proceedings Act 1957.
These regulations come into force on 10 October 2006.
