Pursuant to section 100G of the Biosecurity Act 1993, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting on the advice and with the consent of the Executive Council, makes the following order.

Order
1 Title
This order is the Biosecurity (National Bovine Tuberculosis Pest Management Plan) Amendment Order 2013.
2 Commencement
This order comes into force on 1 July 2013.
3 Principal order
This order amends the Biosecurity (National Bovine Tuberculosis Pest Management Plan) Order 1998 (the principal order).
4 Clause 2 amended (Interpretation)
-
(1) In clause 2(1), revoke the definition of Board.
(2) In clause 2(1), insert in its appropriate alphabetical order:
“TBfree New Zealand means TBfree New Zealand Limited”.
(3) In clause 2(1), definition of tuberculosis vector free area, replace
“the Board”
with“TBfree New Zealand (or, before 1 July 2013, by the Animal Health Board (Incorporated))”

Explanatory note
This note is not part of the order, but is intended to indicate its general effect.
This order, which comes into force on 1 July 2013, amends the Biosecurity (National Bovine Tuberculosis Pest Management Plan) Order 1998. With 2 exceptions, all references to the Animal Health Board (Incorporated) are replaced by references to TBfree New Zealand Limited, which is the new management agency for the purposes of the Biosecurity (National Bovine Tuberculosis Pest Management Plan) Order 1998.
References to the Game Industry Board are also updated to refer to Deer Industry New Zealand, the marketing authority that replaced it.
