Note
These regulations are administered in the Ministry of Transport.
Pursuant to section 201 of the Maritime Transport Act 1994, Her Excellency the Governor-General, acting on the advice and with the consent of the Executive Council, makes the following regulations.

1 Title

(1) These regulations are the Maritime (Offences) Amendment Regulations 2003.
(2) In these regulations, the Maritime (Offences) Regulations 19981 are called
“the principal regulations”
.
2 Commencement
These regulations come into force on 21 March 2003.

Explanatory note
This note is not part of the regulations, but is intended to indicate their general effect.
These regulations, which come into force on 21 March 2003, amend Schedule 1 of the Maritime (Offences) Regulations 1998 by specifying in that schedule—
•the breaches of provisions in new part 91 of the Maritime Rules (which relates to navigation safety) that constitute offences; and
•the maximum conviction on summary conviction in respect of each of those offences; and
•the infringement fee in respect of each of those offences.
