Incorporated Societies Amendment Regulations 1999

These regulations are administered in the Ministry of Commerce.

PURSUANT to the Incorporated Societies Act 1908, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, makes the following regulations.

1 Title and commencement

  • (1) These regulations may be cited as the Incorporated Societies Amendment Regulations 1999, and are part of the Incorporated Societies Regulations 19791 (“the principal regulations”).

    (2) These regulations come into force on 1 July 1999.

2 New Schedule 1 of principal regulations

  • The principal regulations are amended by revoking Schedule 1, and substituting the First Schedule set out in the Schedule of these regulations.

Explanatory note

This note is not part of the regulations, but is intended to indicate their general effect.

These regulations, which come into force on 1 July 1999, amend the Incorporated Societies Regulations 1979 by—

  • •reducing from $200 to $100 the fee payable for an application for incorporation of a society, or a branch or group of branches of a registered society

  • •prescribing a new fee of $200 for a revocation under section 28(3) of the Incorporated Societies Act 1908 of a declaration of dissolution of a society.
