Preamble
At Wellington this 18th day of June 2007
Pursuant to section 150 of the Immigration Act 1987, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting on the advice and with the consent of the Executive Council, makes the following regulations.
1 Title
These regulations are the Immigration Amendment Regulations (No 2) 2007.
2 Commencement
These regulations come into force on 30 July 2007.
3 Principal regulations amended
These regulations amend the Immigration Regulations 1999.
4 Schedule 1 amended
Clause B.1(b)(ii) of Part 1 of Schedule 1 is amended by inserting the items
“Bulgaria”
and“Romania”
in their appropriate alphabetical order.

Explanatory note
This note is not part of the regulations, but is intended to indicate their general effect.
These regulations, which come into force on 30 July 2007, amend the Immigration Regulations 1999 to add Bulgaria and Romania to the list of countries whose citizens are exempt from the requirement to obtain a temporary visa for visits to New Zealand of 3 months or less.
