Shipping (Charges) Amendment Regulations 2004: revoked, on 1 April 2014, pursuant to regulation 11 of the Shipping (Charges) Regulations 2014 (LI 2014/26).

These regulations are administered in the Ministry of Transport.
Pursuant to section 445(1) of the Maritime Transport Act 1994, Her Excellency the Administrator of the Government, acting on the advice and with the consent of the Executive Council, makes the following regulations.
1 Title

(1) These regulations are the Shipping (Charges) Amendment Regulations 2004.
(2) In these regulations, the Shipping (Charges) Regulations 20001 are called
“the principal regulations”
.
2 Commencement
These regulations come into force on 8 August 2004.
3 Charges for seafarer certificates, permits, and endorsements
Regulation 6 of the principal regulations is amended by adding the following subclause:
“(2) If a charge for the recognition of a particular non-New Zealand certificate is not specified in Schedule 2, the charge for the recognition of that certificate is the same as the charge for the equivalent New Zealand certificate.”
4 Schedule 1 amended

(1) Schedule 1 of the principal regulations is amended by inserting, after the item Safety audits under the heading Audits, the following item:
Marine environment protection inspections and audits s 396 MTA (2) Schedule 1 of the principal regulations is amended by inserting, after the item Institution audits under the heading Seafarer services, the following item:
Training course and training programme approval Part 35 MR
5 Schedule 2 amended

(1) Schedule 2 of the principal regulations is amended by inserting, after the item Second or subsequent examination attempt, the following items:
New Zealand chief mate (yacht) Part 32.19A MR 297 New Zealand master (yacht less than 500 gross tonnage) Part 32.19B MR 297 New Zealand master (yacht) Part 32.19C MR 297 Pilot's licence Part 90.6 MR 96 Master's pilotage exemption Part 90.10 MR 96 (2) Schedule 2 of the principal regulations is amended by omitting the item Recognition of non-New Zealand certificates, and substituting the following items:

Explanatory note
This note is not part of the regulations, but is intended to indicate their general effect.
These regulations, which come into force on 8 August 2004, amend the Shipping (Charges) Regulations 2000. The amendments specify charges for documents issued and services provided in relation to several recently made maritime rules and marine protection rules.
