Fisheries (Southern Blue Whiting Total Allowable Catch) Amendment Notice 2011
Pursuant to section 13 of the Fisheries Act 1996, the Minister of Fisheries and Aquaculture, after having regard to the matters specified in that section, gives the following notice.

1 Title
This notice is the Fisheries (Southern Blue Whiting Total Allowable Catch) Amendment Notice 2011.
2 Commencement
This notice comes into force on 31 March 2011.
3 Application
This notice applies on and from the fishing year commencing on 1 April 2011.
4 Principal notice amended
This notice amends the Fisheries (Southern Blue Whiting Total Allowable Catch) Notice 2000.
5 Schedule amended
The fourth column of the Schedule is amended by—
(a) omitting
“15 000”
and substituting“7 000”
; and
(b) omitting
“23 460”
and substituting“30 000”
.

Explanatory note
This note is not part of the notice, but is intended to indicate its general effect.
This notice, which comes into force on 31 March 2011, amends the Fisheries (Southern Blue Whiting Total Allowable Catch) Notice 2000.
The amendments—
decrease the total allowable catch for southern blue whiting in the quota management area SBW6B (Bounty Platform) to 7 000 tonnes; and
increase the total allowable catch for southern blue whiting in the quota management area SBW6I (Campbell Rise) to 30 000 tonnes.
The changes apply on and from the fishing year commencing on 1 April 2011.
