Pursuant to sections 28B and 28C of the Fisheries Act 1983, the Minister of Fisheries, acting after consultation with the Fishing Industry Board, and after allowing for the matters specified in section 28C, hereby gives the following notice.

1 Title and commencement

This notice may be cited as the Fisheries (Jack Mackerel Quota Management Areas, Total Allowable Catches, and Catch Histories) Notice (No 2) 1987.
(2)
This notice shall come into force on the day after the date of its notification in the Gazette.
2 Interpretation
In this notice—
Act means the Fisheries Act 1983
Auckland (East), Central (East) Area means all New Zealand fisheries waters in Fishery Management Area 1—Auckland (East), and Fishery Management Area 2—Central (East), as defined in Part 1 of Schedule 1 of the Fisheries Act 1996
jack mackerel means the fish of which the scientific name is Trachurus spp.
South-East, Southland, Sub-Antarctic Area means all New Zealand fisheries waters in Fishery Management Area 3—Kermadec, Fishery Management Area 4—South-East (Chatham Rise), Fishery Management Area 5—Southland, and Fishery Management Area 6—Sub-Antarctic, as defined in Part 1 of Schedule 1 of the Fisheries Act 1996.

3 Quota management areas
