These regulations are administered by the Ministry for Primary Industries.
Pursuant to section 297 of the Fisheries Act 1996, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting on the advice and with the consent of the Executive Council, makes the following regulations.
Regulations
1 Title
These regulations are the Fisheries (Reporting) Amendment Regulations 2009.
2 Commencement
These regulations come into force on 1 June 2009.
3 Principal regulations amended
These regulations amend the Fisheries (Reporting) Regulations 2001.
4 Interpretation
(1)
Paragraph (b)(iii) of the definition of landing in regulation 3(1) is amended by omitting “receptacle”
and substituting “receptacle; and”
.
(2)
The following definition of species in regulation 3(1) is revoked: “species means the species set out in Part 2 of Schedule 3”
.
(3)
Regulation 3(3) is amended by omitting “1986”
and substituting “2001”
.
5 Licensed fish receiver must be audited and provide annual audit reports
Regulation 20(1B) is amended by omitting “to provides”
and substituting “to provide”
.

Explanatory note
This note is not part of the regulations, but is intended to indicate their general effect.
These regulations, which come into force on 1 June 2009, amend the Fisheries (Reporting) Regulations 2001 as follows:
regulations 3 and 20(1B) are amended to correct errors:
Part 2 of Schedule 3 is amended to add further species codes and to omit the reference to Catfish (freshwater).
