These regulations are administered by the Ministry for Primary Industries.
Pursuant to section 297 of the Fisheries Act 1996, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting on the advice and with the consent of the Executive Council, makes the following regulations.
Regulations
1 Title
These regulations are the Fisheries (Reporting) Amendment Regulations 2010.
2 Commencement
These regulations come into force on 1 October 2010.
3 Principal regulations amended
These regulations amend the Fisheries (Reporting) Regulations 2001.
4 Schedule 3 amended
(1)
Table 1 of Part 1 of Schedule 3 is amended by inserting the items set out in Schedule 1 of these regulations in their appropriate alphabetical order.
(2)
Part 1 of Schedule 3 is amended by adding the table set out in Schedule 2 of these regulations.
(3)
Part 2A of Schedule 3 is amended as follows:
(a)
the item relating to species code XGF is amended by omitting “Great-winged petrel”
and substituting “Great-winged (Grey-faced) petrel”
:
(b)
the item relating to species code XMB is amended by omitting “Sula dactylatra fullageri”
and substituting “Sula dactylatra”
:
(c)
the item relating to species code XRB is amended by omitting “Larus novaehollandiae scopulinus”
and substituting “Larus scopulinus”
:
(d)
the item relating to species code XAS is amended by omitting “Wandering albatross”
and substituting “Snowy (Wandering) albatross”
:
(e)
the item relating to species code XWB is amended by omitting “Fregetta grallaria grallaria”
and substituting “Fregetta grallaria”
.

Part 2C of Schedule 3 is amended by adding the items set out in Schedule 3 of these regulations.

Explanatory note
This note is not part of the regulations, but is intended to indicate their general effect.
These regulations, which come into force on 1 October 2010, amend Schedule 3 of the Fisheries (Reporting) Regulations 2001.
The amendments—
insert references to bladder kelp and Patagonian toothfish into table 1 of Part 1:
insert a new table 24 in Part 1 containing fishstock codes for bladder kelp for quota management areas 3 and 4:
update the description of some of the species set out in Part 2A:
insert references to additional species in Part 2C.
