These regulations are administered in the Ministry of Transport.
Pursuant to section 66 of the Transport Services Licensing Act 1989, Her Excellency the Governor-General, acting on the advice and with the consent of the Executive Council, makes the following regulations.
Regulations
1 Title
(1)
These regulations are the Transport Services Licensing Amendment Regulations 2002.
(2)
In these regulations, the Transport Services Licensing Regulations 19891 are called “the principal regulations”
.
2 Commencement
These regulations come into force on 19 August 2002.
3 Schedule 1 amended
Schedule 1 of the principal regulations is amended by omitting from the third column the expression “$10,000”
in both places where it appears, and substituting in each case the expression “$50,000”
.

Explanatory note
This note is not part of the regulations, but is intended to indicate their general effect.
These regulations, which come into force on 19 August 2002, amend the Transport Services Licensing Regulations 1989. The amendment increases the cap on fees that the Land Transport Safety Authority may charge for approving rail safety management systems and significant variations to those systems under sections 6D and 6E of the Transport Services Licensing Act 1989. The cap is increased from $10,000 to $50,000.
