Note
Changes authorised by section 17C of the Acts and Regulations Publication Act 1989 have been made in this eprint.
A general outline of these changes is set out in the notes at the end of this eprint, together with other explanatory material about this eprint.
This order is administered in the Ministry of Health.
Pursuant to section 14(2) of the Chiropractors Act 1982, Her Excellency the Governor-General, acting on the advice and with the consent of the Executive Council, makes the following order.
1 Title
This order is the Chiropractors Order 2002.
2 Commencement
This order comes into force on the day after the date of its notification in the Gazette.
3 Recognised qualifications
Schedule 1 of the Chiropractors Act 1982 is amended by revoking paragraph (h), and substituting the following paragraph:
“(h) a Bachelor of Chiropractic granted by the New Zealand College of Chiropractic.”
Martin Bell,
Acting for Clerk of the Executive Council.
Explanatory note
This note is not part of the order, but is intended to indicate its general effect.
This order, which comes into force on the day after its notification in the Gazette, amends the First Schedule of the Chiropractors Act 1982. The Schedule lists recognised qualifications that may lead to a person registering as a chiropractor. The amendment reflects the fact that the New Zealand Chiropractic Association School of Chiropractic has changed its name to the New Zealand College of Chiropractic and changed the name of the degree it grants from a Bachelor of Science in Chiropractic to a Bachelor of Chiropractic.
Issued under the authority of the Acts and Regulations Publication Act 1989.
Date of notification in Gazette: 17 October 2002.
