Preamble
At Wellington this 28th day of August 2006
Pursuant to section 21 of the Health and Safety in Employment Act 1992, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting on the advice and with the consent of the Executive Council, and on the recommendation of the Minister (as defined in section 2(1) of that Act), makes the following regulations.
1 Title
These regulations are the Health and Safety in Employment (Prescribed Matters) Amendment Regulations 2006.
2 Commencement
These regulations come into force on 10 October 2006.
3 Principal regulations amended
These regulations amend the Health and Safety in Employment (Prescribed Matters) Regulations 2003.
4 Schedule amended

The section headed “Details of service”
in form 4 of the Schedule is amended—
(a)
by omitting “[To be completed by enforcement authority on copy to be filed in Court only.]”
and substituting “[To be provided for filing in Court.]”
; and
(b)
by inserting “at [address**]”
after “Served by personal service*/postal service*”
in the second place where it appears; and
(c)
by inserting “** Full address at which the reminder notice was served.”
below “*Delete which does not apply.”

Explanatory note
This note is not part of the regulations, but is intended to indicate their general effect.
These regulations amend the Health and Safety in Employment (Prescribed Matters) Regulations 2003 to—
clarify name requirements in the infringement notice and the reminder notice prescribed by those regulations; and
reflect changes (made by the Summary Proceedings Amendment Act 2006) to the summary procedure for infringement offences in section 21 of the Summary Proceedings Act 1957.
These regulations come into force on 10 October 2006.
