Pursuant to section 2 of the Intellectual Disability (Compulsory Care and Rehabilitation) Act 2003, Her Excellency the Governor-General, acting on the advice and with the consent of the Executive Council, makes the following order.

1 Title
This order is the Intellectual Disability (Compulsory Care and Rehabilitation) Act Commencement Order 2004.
2 Commencement of Intellectual Disability (Compulsory Care and Rehabilitation) Act 2003
-
(1) Section 5(1) and Part 11 of the Intellectual Disability (Compulsory Care and Rehabilitation) Act 2003 come into force on 1 July 2004.
(2) The rest of the Intellectual Disability (Compulsory Care and Rehabilitation) Act 2003 comes into force on 1 September 2004.

Explanatory note
This note is not part of the order, but is intended to indicate its general effect.
This order brings—
•section 5(1) and Part 11 of the Intellectual Disability (Compulsory Care and Rehabilitation) Act 2003 into force on 1 July 2004; and
•the rest of the Intellectual Disability (Compulsory Care and Rehabilitation) Act 2003 into force on 1 September 2004.
Section 5(1) of the Intellectual Disability (Compulsory Care and Rehabilitation) Act 2003 concerns interpretation and Part 11 of that Act provides for matters relating to administration.
