Preamble
At Wellington this 29th day of May 2006
Pursuant to section 71 of the Private Investigators and Security Guards Act 1974, Her Excellency the Administrator of the Government, acting on the advice and with the consent of the Executive Council, makes the following regulations.
1 Title
These regulations are the Private Investigators and Security Guards Amendment Regulations 2006.
2 Commencement
These regulations come into force on 1 July 2006.
3 Principal regulations amended
These regulations amend the Private Investigators and Security Guards Regulations 1975.
5 New Schedule 2 substituted
Schedule 2 is revoked and the Schedule 2 set out in the Schedule of these regulations is substituted.

Explanatory note
This note is not part of the regulations, but is intended to indicate their general effect.
These regulations, which come into force on 1 July 2006, substitute a new scale of fees in respect of various matters under the Private Investigators and Security Guards Act 1974. Most of the fees are reduced except for the fee for the renewal of a certificate of approval, which is increased from $50 to $60. The regulations also remove the fee for inspection of registers.
