Note
These bylaws are administered by the Department of Conservation.
Pursuant to section 56 of the National Parks Act 1980, the Minister of Conservation makes the following bylaws.
1 Title
These bylaws are the Nelson Lakes National Park Amendment Bylaws 2006.
2 Commencement
These bylaws come into force on the 28th day after the date of their notification in the Gazette.
3 Principal bylaws amended
These bylaws amend the Nelson Lakes National Park Bylaws 2006.
4 Camping
Bylaw 11 is amended by revoking subclause (1) and substituting the following subclause:

“(1) A person must not camp—
“(a) on or within 200 m of a formed road; or
“(b) within 200 m of Lake Rotoiti, or Lake Rotoroa; or
“(c) in a shelter.”

Explanatory note
This note is not part of the bylaws, but is intended to indicate their general effect.
These bylaws, which come into force on the 28th day after the date of their notification in the Gazette, substitute bylaw 11(1) of the Nelson Lakes National Park Bylaws 2006, which relates to camping.
New bylaw 11(1) clarifies that a person must not camp within 200 m of Lake Rotoiti or Lake Rotoroa.
