Preamble
At Wellington this 16th day of July 2007
Pursuant to section 16A of the Family Courts Act 1980, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting on the advice and with the consent of the Executive Council, makes the following rules.

1 Title
These rules are the Family Courts Amendment Rules 2007.
2 Commencement
These rules come into force on 1 August 2007.
3 Principal rules amended
These rules amend the Family Courts Rules 2002.

Explanatory note
This note is not part of the rules, but is intended to indicate their general effect.
These rules, which come into force on 1 August 2007, make changes to the Family Courts Rules 2002 consequential on—
•changes made by the Protection of Personal and Property Rights Order 2007 (which increases the value of an item of property in respect of which an order for administration of that property can be made under section 11 of the Protection of Personal and Property Rights Act 1988 from $2,000 to $5,000):
•changes made by the Care of Children Act 2004.
