Local Government Elected Members Determination 2008 Amendment Determination 2008
Pursuant to clause 6 of Schedule 7 of the Local Government Act 2002 and to section 19 of the Remuneration Authority Act 1977, the Remuneration Authority makes the following determination (to which is appended an explanatory memorandum).
Determination
1 Title
This determination is the Local Government Elected Members Determination 2008 Amendment Determination 2008.
2 Commencement
This determination comes into force on the day after the date of its notification in the Gazette.
3 Principal determination amended
This determination amends the Local Government Elected Members Determination 2008.
4 Schedule amended

(1) The item relating to Christchurch City Council in the Schedule is amended by omitting the item relating to Mayor and substituting the following item:
Mayor 152,219 7 March 2008 (2) The item relating to Manukau City Council in the Schedule is amended with effect from 22 October 2007 by omitting
“$10,500”
and substituting“$21,500”
.(3) The item relating to Porirua City Council in the Schedule is amended by omitting the item relating to Mayor and substituting the following item:
Mayor 77,777 13 March 2008 (4) The item relating to Mayor in the item relating to Waikato District Council in the Schedule is amended by omitting
“18 October 2007”
and substituting“13 October 2007”
.(5) The item relating to Ngaruawahia Community Board in the item relating to Waikato District Council in the Schedule is amended by omitting
“5,500”
and substituting“6,250”
.(6) The item relating to Waitakere City Council in the Schedule is amended by omitting the item relating to Mayor and substituting the following item:

Explanatory memorandum
This memorandum is not part of the determination, but is intended to indicate its general effect.
This determination amends the Local Government Elected Members Determination 2008. Although the determination comes into force only on the day after the date of its notification in the Gazette, the amendments all have retrospective effect.
The reasons for the amendments are as follows:
