Shipping (Charges) Amendment Regulations 2008: revoked, on 1 April 2014, pursuant to regulation 11 of the Shipping (Charges) Regulations 2014 (LI 2014/26).

Pursuant to section 445(1) of the Maritime Transport Act 1994, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting on the advice and with the consent of the Executive Council, makes the following regulations.

Regulations
1 Title
These regulations are the Shipping (Charges) Amendment Regulations 2008.
2 Commencement
These regulations come into force on 1 November 2008.
3 Principal regulations amended
These regulations amend the Shipping (Charges) Regulations 2000.
4 Charges for seafarer certificates, permits, and endorsements
Regulation 6 is amended by inserting the following subclause after subclause (1):

“(1A) The charges set out in—
“(a) the third column of Schedule 2 are payable for the 8 months starting on 1 November 2008:
“(b) the fourth column of Schedule 2 are payable for the year starting on 1 July 2009 and subsequent years.”

5 New Schedule 2 substituted
Schedule 2 is revoked and the Schedule 2 set out in the Schedule of these regulations substituted.

Explanatory note
This note is not part of the regulations, but is intended to indicate their general effect.
These regulations, which come into force on 1 November 2008, replace Schedule 2 of the Shipping (Charges) Regulations 2000. New Schedule 2 sets out charges payable in relation to examinations, certificates, permits, and endorsements for the 8 months starting on 1 November 2008, and the year starting on 1 July 2009 and for subsequent years.
