Pursuant to section 156 of the Real Estate Agents Act 2008, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting on the advice and with the consent of the Executive Council, makes the following regulations.
Regulations
1 Title
These regulations are the Real Estate Agents (Duties of Licensees) Amendment Regulations 2014.
2 Commencement
These regulations come into force on 31 July 2014.
3 Principal regulations
These regulations amend the Real Estate Agents (Duties of Licensees) Regulations 2009 (the principal regulations).
4 Schedule, form 2 amended
In the Schedule, form 2, under the heading
“Meaning of related person”
, replace paragraph (h) with:“(h) a grandparent, parent, uncle, or aunt of the licensee or of any person referred to in paragraph (d) or (e):”.

Explanatory note
This note is not part of the regulations, but is intended to indicate their general effect.
These regulations, which come into force on 31 July 2014, replace paragraph (h) of the definition of related person set out in form 2 of the Schedule of the Real Estate Agents (Duties of Licensees) Regulations 2009 (the principal regulations). These regulations realign the meaning of related person in the principal regulations with the meaning of related person in section 137(2) of the Real Estate Agents Act 2008, which was amended in December 2012.
