These regulations are made under section 168(1)(m) of the Climate Change Response Act 2002 on the advice and with the consent of the Executive Council.
Regulations
1 Title
These regulations are the Climate Change (Other Removal Activities) Amendment Regulations 2019.
2 Commencement
These regulations come into force on 1 January 2020.
3 Principal regulations
These regulations amend the Climate Change (Other Removal Activities) Regulations 2009 (the principal regulations).
4 Regulation 8 amended (Threshold for exporting synthetic greenhouse gases activity)
After regulation 8(2)(g), insert:
(h)
the refrigeration system of a shipping container.

Explanatory note
This note is not part of the regulations, but is intended to indicate their general effect.
These regulations, which come into force on 1 January 2020, amend the Climate Change (Other Removal Activities) Regulations 2009 (the principal regulations). The regulations introduce the refrigeration system of a shipping container into the definition of excluded goods for the purposes of regulation 8 of the principal regulations. Excluded goods under regulation 8 are not subject to the threshold for the activity of exporting synthetic greenhouse gas.
