Pursuant to section 2 of the War Pensions Amendment Act 2009, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting on the advice and with the consent of the Executive Council, makes the following order.

This order is the War Pensions Amendment Act 2009 Commencement Order 2009.
2 Commencement of War Pensions Amendment Act 2009
The War Pensions Amendment Act 2009 comes into force on 5 January 2010.

Explanatory note
This note is not part of the order, but is intended to indicate its general effect.
This order brings into force on 5 January 2010 the War Pensions Amendment Act 2009, which amends the War Pensions Act 1954 so as to enable in some circumstances the payment of veteran’s pensions to people who are overseas.
Issued under the authority of the Legislation Act 2019.

1 General
This is a consolidation of the War Pensions Amendment Act 2009 Commencement Order 2009 that incorporates the amendments made to the legislation so that it shows the law as at its stated date.
2 Legal status
