Pursuant to sections 139 and 139A of the Local Government Act 2002, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting on the advice and with the consent of the Executive Council and on the recommendation of the Minister of Local Government (at the request of the Auckland Regional Council), makes the following order.

Order
1 Title
This order is the Local Government (Auckland Regional Parks) Amendment Order 2010.
2 Commencement
This order comes into force on the 28th day after the date of its notification in the Gazette.
3 Principal order amended
This order amends the Local Government (Auckland Regional Parks) Order 2008.
4 Schedule amended to include 3 further regional parks

(1) The item relating to Tapapakanga Regional Park in the Schedule is amended by adding the following item:

Explanatory note
This note is not part of the order, but is intended to indicate its general effect.
This order amends the Local Government (Auckland Regional Parks) Order 2008 (the principal order), which protects, in perpetuity, the regional parks described in the Schedule of that order from disposition (whether by sale or otherwise).
The order amends the principal order in the following 3 ways:
it adds items in relation to the Pakiri, Te Arai, and Te Rau Puriri Regional Parks (so that they are also now protected in perpetuity); and
it adds an item each in relation to the Tapapakanga and Waitakere Ranges Regional Parks (which relate to parcels of land added to those regional parks since the principal order was made); and
it adds an item each in relation to the Long Bay and Shakespear Regional Parks and 3 items in relation to the Waitakere Ranges Regional Park (which are references to parcels of land in those regional parks that were omitted in error when the principal order was made).
The order comes into force on the 28th day after the date of its notification in the Gazette.
