Explanatory note
This note is not part of the regulations, but is intended to indicate their general effect.
These regulations, which come into force at 2 am on 29 November 2010, amend the Immigration (Visa, Entry Permission, and Related Matters) Regulations 2010 (the principal regulations). The regulations amend an item in Schedule 4 of the principal regulations. That Schedule was added to the principal regulations by regulation 35 and Schedule 1 of the Immigration (Visa, Entry Permission, and Related Matters) Amendment Regulations 2010 (the first amendment regulations).
Schedule 4 sets out the fees payable for matters to which the principal regulations apply. The item amended by these regulations, which relates to the fee payable for an application for a temporary visa under the Long-term Business Visa category of immigration instructions, was incorrectly entered twice when Schedule 4 was added to the principal regulations by the first amendment regulations.
The principal regulations, the first amendment regulations, and these regulations all come into force at the same time, that is, 2 am on 29 November 2010 (and, accordingly, will be consolidated and form one set of regulations on and from that date and time). This date and time is also the commencement date for the majority of the provisions of the Immigration Act 2009.
Issued under the authority of the Acts and Regulations Publication Act 1989.
Date of notification in Gazette: 25 November 2010.
These regulations are administered by the Department of Labour.
