Pursuant to section 265A(5) of the Fisheries Act 1996, the Minister of Fisheries and Aquaculture gives the following notice.

Notice
1 Title
This notice is the Fisheries (Remaining Cost Recovery Settlement Balance) Notice 2011.
2 Commencement
This notice comes into force on the day after the date of its notification in the Gazette.
3 Interpretation
In this notice, unless the context otherwise requires,—
Act means the Fisheries Act 1996
remaining balance, in relation to the stock or grouping specified in the Schedule and the cost recovery sum allocated to the stock or grouping under Schedule 9A of the Act, has the meaning given to it by section 265A(6) of the Act.
4 Remaining balance
The remaining balance for the stock or grouping specified in the Schedule as at the date of the commencement of this notice is the amount stated for the stock or grouping in the final column of the Schedule.

Explanatory note
This note is not part of the notice, but is intended to indicate its general effect.
This notice, which comes into force on the day after the date of its notification in the Gazette, sets out the remaining balance of the settlement sum applying to Northland scallops (SCA1) following the making of the Fisheries (Cost Recovery Levies for Fisheries Services) Order 2011 and the Fisheries (Cost Recovery Levies for Conservation Services) Order 2011.
