Pursuant to section 82 of the Major Events Management Act 2007, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting on the advice and with the consent of the Executive Council, makes the following regulations.
Regulations
1 Title
These regulations are the Major Events Management Amendment Regulations 2012.
2 Commencement
These regulations come into force on 1 October 2012.
3 Principal regulations
These regulations amend the Major Events Management Regulations 2008 (the principal regulations).
4 Regulation 7 and cross-heading revoked
Revoke regulation 7 and the cross-heading above regulation 7.

Explanatory note
This note is not part of the regulations, but is intended to indicate their general effect.
These regulations, which come into force on 1 October 2012, make amendments to the Major Events Management Regulations 2008 (the principal regulations) that are consequential on the commencement of certain provisions of the Search and Surveillance Act 2012. These regulations revoke regulation 7, and form 3 in the Schedule, of the principal regulations.
