These regulations are made under section 387 of the Criminal Procedure Act 2011 on the advice and with the consent of the Executive Council.
Regulations
1 Title
These regulations are the Court of Appeal (Criminal Fees) Amendment Regulations 2025.
2 Commencement
These regulations come into force on 1 July 2025.
3 Principal regulations
These regulations amend the Court of Appeal (Criminal Fees) Regulations 2013.
4 Schedule amended
In the Schedule, items 1 and 2, replace “33.00”
with “34.00”

Explanatory note
This note is not part of the regulations but is intended to indicate their general effect.
These regulations, which come into force on 1 July 2025, amend the Court of Appeal (Criminal Fees) Regulations 2013 to increase the fees payable for accessing and copying court documents relating to criminal appeals in the Court of Appeal from $33 to $34 (including goods and services tax).
The fees are being increased by an inflation adjustment of 3.65%, which is based on a weighted average of the Labour Cost Index and the Producers Price Index. The new fees are rounded to the nearest dollar.
