Explanatory note
This note is not part of the order, but is intended to indicate its general effect.
This order brings the Residential Tenancies Amendment Act 2011 (the Act) into force on 14 April 2014.
The Act allows the Tenancy Tribunal to record in an order an agreement to enforce the payment of any specified amount of money by way of an attachment order made under the District Courts Act 1947. The Tribunal may record such an agreement in a money order, which, if filed in the District Court, will trigger the power of the District Court to make an attachment order.
Issued under the authority of the Legislation Act 2012.
Date of notification in Gazette: 3 October 2013.
This order is administered by the Ministry of Business, Innovation, and Employment.
